Building Information Modeling (BIM)

The Wm. T. Spaeder Company offers design assistance using Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) technology for HVAC, plumbing, site-work utility services, and fire protection systems. We also offer cost-estimating scanning services to determine existing conditions and provide affordable solutions to our customers. By integrating BIM technologies into our process, we’re able to retrofit and re-engineer even the most complex systems.

Spaeder prides itself on using FARO Technologies for 3D scanning. It is the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement, imaging, and realization technology. We also use HoloLens virtual-reality hardware and Trimble modeling applications. Supporting both 3D and 4D coordination, Spaeder has the capabilities to handle on-site, web-based, and in-office coordination services.

In-House Fabrication Services

Fabrication is at the heart of Spaeder’s pre-assembled systems. We’ve built a team of world-class, certified technicians who produce high-quality products using the latest welding techniques.

The Spaeder team has worked with a wide variety of materials including aluminum, carbon steel, chrome-moly, nickel-based alloys, and stainless steel. No matter how complex the problem, we create fixture trees and banks designed explicitly for commercial industries.

Fire Protection Systems

Spaeder’s seasoned fire protection division ensures a seamless installation of suppression systems for offices, retail spaces, and educational facilities. By using BIM technology, we can identify potential design alternatives, prefabrication projects, and cost-savings opportunities during construction. We offer a variety of fire-protection options, including:

• chemical suppression systems
• dry systems
• wet systems

Each system we install is tested thoroughly to ensure both function and adherence to fire-protection codes. Additionally, our BIM and prefabrication services provide a safer fire-protection system and faster delivery.
